"Life of Pie" Actor Irrfan Khan dies at 53, was battling Colon Infection
Irrfan Khan passed away today at a hospital in Mumbai, where he was admitted for colon infection. The 53-year-old actor had been battling cancer since 2018 and his official spokesperson had confirmed on Tuesday that he was under doctor’s observation. Irrfan is survived by his wife Sutapa and sons – Babil and Ayan.

Irrfan Khan was considered one of the finest artist of Bollywood having acted in more than 85 films in Indian and International cine world. He is best known for his roles in some of the critical international success pictures like "Life of Pie", "Slumdog Millionaire", "Jurassic World" and Bollywood superhits like Billu, Paan Singh Tomar, Piku, Crazzy 4 and many other. His carrier spanned more than 3 decades while started from "Salaam Bombay!" movie and last being "Angrezi Medium".
