Jeep crash, mother and son killed
The family of Dr Krishna Dhital, coordinator of the Makwanpur District Level Human Rights Monitoring Committee and chairman of the NGO Federation Makwanpur, has lost his wife and son in a jeep accident. Three passengers of the jeep have been injured.
The accident took place at 17 Kilo of Muglin-Narayangadh road on Monday evening. The deceased have been identified as Dhital's wife Prabha Gautam and son Anuj. Chitwan police said that the Scorpio jeep collided with an Indian gas bullet on its way to Hetauda from Kathmandu.
According to Chitwan Police, Dhital's wife died on the way to the hospital. According to family sources, his son Anuj died this morning while undergoing treatment.
Driver Rajan Ghimire has been seriously injured in the accident. Similarly, Krishna Dhital and his daughter Varsha are in moderate condition, according to Chitwan Police.
The Scorpio (Ba 13 Cha 5929) belonging to the Dhital family was heading towards Mugling from Narayangarh when it collided with a gas bullet with Indian number NL 0105160.
